Boxer Ramen is a new Japanese restaurant in Multnomah Village. The business has been open for 6 weeks, and they are part of a local chain.
Boxer Ramen doesn’t have too many choices on its menu, but it does have sides, bentos, and its famous ramen.
The man who owned the establishment is a man named Micah Camden. Camden also owns other chains such as Little Big Burger, Super Deluxe, and Blue Star Donuts.
Ed Serrano, a server at the restaurant recommended the spicy red miso. The shiitake shoyu ramen is one of their vegetarian options. Starters include potstickers and sunomono salad with avocados and cucumbers. The potstickers and salad didn’t take long at all, it took at least five minutes for the sides to come out. The ramen came out shortly after making the overall wait time 20 minutes, which is pretty good for how packed it was in there. All of the employees were very friendly.
The pork katsu was good but a little dry. A sauce would have taken it to the next level. The kimchi was very underwhelming and tasted as if it hadn’t marinated for long enough.
The potstickers came with pickled purple cabbage and the potstickers a chile seasoning with a bit of a kick to it but with the cabbage, it was a perfect combo. The salad looks boring at first glance but it’s a sweet and delicious salad.
The ramen was the best part of the farm. It came in a very large portion with scallions, mushrooms, green onions and one poached egg.
Boxer Ramen is a 9/10 spot. The one point knocked off is due to the dry pork.
