Makena Albree is a freshman student at Ida B. Wells. She is currently enrolled in her first year in the Journalism pathway, and is very interested in creative writing. Makena believes that journalism is a great way to experience what writing in the media world would be like for her. So far, she thinks that it is quite an enjoyable class, seeing section and copy edits get done makes her want to be able to move up into that part of the path of journalism. Other than writing, Makena enjoys playing volleyball and hanging out with friends.
