The Pvolve fitness studio, backed by Jennifer Aniston, who is best known for her role as Rachel in “Friends”. Aniston has recently rebranded herself to be in the wellness and fitness sphere and is now opening a new Pvolve location in Portland, located at 2121 N.W. Savier St.
Not much is known about the project. Except for the two permits filed with a total valuation of $488,000 that show Pvolve will add a studio, sales floor area, private training room and storage area for the gym to be built.
Pvolve says the gym is “coming soon” but doesn’t include an opening day. And it will also be the brand’s first location in Oregon.
She first got involved with Pvolve in 2021 when she was recovering from a back injury. “I don’t feel like myself when I’m not able to workout,” said Aniston, “I had a friend who had already been doing Pvolve and not only did I notice her complete transformation – physically in her energy level – but she also explained that Pvolve is functional fitness that respects where your body is at and allows you to work around your current limitations.”
In 2023, she teamed up with the company to help with marketing, product development and strategy. She frequently promotes “Jen’s Picks,” which is Pvolve equipment she endorses, and has helped develop exercise equipment like the P.ball, P.band, and P.3 Trainer, which are used to increase mobility and strength.
Despite being a successful, well-known actor with a passion for well-being, Aniston’s life hasn’t always been easy. Her father, John Aniston, who starred in “Days of Our Lives”, even advised her not to go into acting. “That was my one rebellion,” she shared. “I was hoping that I was going to make it, so that I could prove him wrong.”
Her mother, Nancy Dow, an actor and model, was hard on Aniston for most of her childhood. Often criticizing her looks. “It wasn’t her trying to be a b**** or knowing she would be making some deep wounds that I would then spend a lot of money to undo … She did it because that was what she grew up with,” said Aniston of her mother, “She was missing what was actually important. I think she was just holding on and doing the best she could.”
So for those looking to work out in a gym endorsed by Jennifer Aniston, there will be one opening in Portland soon.
